Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, the authorities preferred to move the dates of the IMM2021 event to the months of July or August 2021, this to ensure a broader vaccination and the smooth running of the event.
According to current data, 60-70% of the Florentine population will be vaccinated by July, provided that no new vaccines take place, only raising that estimate.
In the month of May it would be very difficult to allow some nations to participate, while by moving it to six weeks later many of these nations, based on the statistics of last summer, will have access to the national territory.
We remind you that the possibility of holding the event remains linked to our new location, Firenze Camping in Town. In fact, it is expected that many areas will be closed for years, given that it will be essential to provide maximum hygiene and safety. This rule will remain in force throughout 2022 and 2023. Our location meets all standards and will thus allow the event to run smoothly.
Given the data from last summer, the increased safety provided by the vaccine and the reflections of the authorities, IMM2021 will be moved to the 1st to the 4th of July.
We remind you that the possibility of changing dates has always been a possibility and present in the FAQs of the imm2021.it site and on the FB page.
All bookings of bungalows, chalets, safari tents and hotels made directly through the IMM2021 organization will be automatically moved to July, tickets and payment receipts remain valid, therefore members will not have to take any further action in order to participate.
We trust that you understand how demoralizing it would have been for all of us to have to postpone the IMM to 2023 and that it would have been wrong to communicate this decision further down the line.
